Booking Engine: (http://www.reservetravel.com/v6?)The
client wants to do as little work as possible, so they use *our*
skinnable, brandable booking engine and let us do all the work.
They select the skin, or create their own, or has us upload their
header, footer and margins to look like their website and just link
off to it. Users can also use a brand that we offer, reservetravel.com.
No programmer required, simple fast, and the easiest for us.
Trip Authority - Content, Rates and availability - Business 2 consumer
merchant services
Trip Authority: (xml) The client wants to do their own search and
show rates and link off to *our* booking engine once a rate is found.
TripAuthority serves this need. The client uses TripAuthority for Availability calls
and links back to us for the booking. This requires a programmer,
a database, and some XML services.
Trip Authority I: (xml) The client wants to build their own
front end website without having to host a local database and local
content but still have us do customer support and credit cards.
The new TripAuthority content services allow this by providing access
to the same search and hotel information web services that our booking
engine uses. Our booking engine uses these services and
then uses TripAuthority for handling Availability, Rate Details,
Booking, and Cancel using the hotel id's returned from the search.
This requires programmer, a database, and some XML services and
some serious programming.
TripAuthority II: (xml) The client wants to build his own
front end website but have us handle all the back end, merchant
account, customer support, etc. This is what TripAuthority is designed
for. It supports the same basic 4 operations as ABBIE (Availability,
Rate Details, Booking, and Cancel) by hotel id only, but with the
addition of adding booking fees, sending emails to the guest, and
charging the credit card when necessary. The client is still responsible
for doing searching locally and hosting content (hotel info, amenity
and room info, etc) themselves in their own database. This requires
a programmer, a database, and some XML services and some serious
programming.
